Reel Theology: Banshees of Inisherin

Nominated for 9 Academy Awards, Banshees charts the end of a lifelong friendship of two Irishmen on the fictional island of Inisherim.  A deepening chasm grows between them that turns former friends into outright enemies.  Dire consequences result.  The question is whether the film is a true portrayal of human nature gone awry that is indeed, unsettling.  Brendan Gleeson and Colin Ferrell turn in stellar performances.
