Jewish festival of Purim at Temple
Join us Monday, March 6th, as we celebrate the Jewish festival of Purim at Temple Emanu-El. This special day and service originate from the Book of Esther when Esther and her Uncle, Mordechai, truly owned and stood up for their Jewishness during a time when all Jews were ordered to be killed. Their bravery saved the Jewish people from extinction and cruelty. The lively celebration of Purim is full of spirit, noisemakers, skits, and fun for the kids. The service begins at 6:00 p.m. Ride-sharing will be coordinated to leave from UCC at 5:15 p.m. if you choose not to go directly to the temple.
More details on rides to follow.
During Coffee Chat the day before, Sunday, March 5th, at UCC the traditional cookie of Purim, Hamantashen, will be served. These are amazing!
